Known for Spreading Love Throughout the Hip Hop Community
Born
It all started on August 31 1983 in Santa Monica
Childhood/elementary years
Then I was a shy quiet kid that was that loved to be out doors.
I had a brother and two sisters and my childhood where Birthday parties and swimming in the pool
We lived in Rowland Heights California where I played organized sports and enjoyed growing up in a neighborhood
I loved music even as an early age I can remember loving the theme songs to cartoons like Bots Master memorizing songs I heard in movies. My sister Tawnia had a keyboard and I would play.
The first rap music I remember hearing was MC hammer U Cant touch this
So that would make 6 and half or 7
I was still shy and mostly stuck to myself.
My earliest hip-hop and memories are of boys to men mo town Philly
Tag team whoop there it is Jump around house of Pain Salt N Pepa Shoop
Regulators 213 Doggy style Album Snoop Dogg 1993 was the first album I ever had that I could listen to on my own. Bone thugs eternal
Met a friend at school that was obsessed with music because his siblings were Djs and he inherited a room full of Records and equipment.
I soon found myself listening and working on hip hop by the age of 13
When I was 14 my father got a job in Tokyo Japan. I can remember recording power 106 on cassette tapes and taking the recorded radio show to Tokyo with my and those cassettes where my favorite.
High School
I didn’t like Japan much I didn’t know any body didn’t speak the language and didn’t have any friends also no hip hop music. Wow I was devastated
I eventually worked my way into some trouble
I had turntables collected record albums and make music with my friends
My mother remembers I had a room
We took an old metal desk from we don’t remember where but we put the turn tables on top of it but m mother recalls she didn’t know what we did in there but make whole lot of noise and my friends and I would come from the subway station and huge boys shoes all over the entry and making mix tapes then and taking them to school and passing them out to other students on the bus
I learned alot about Tokyo nightlife club promotion and performing even in high school
REDMAN
One year Redman came to YOKOHAMA it was amazing me and all the homies bought tickets and went out to see him it was great we got to meet him it was crazy. I got a shirt. The next day at school a friend said she knew a promoter in Shinjuku where he would perform tonight and the=at she was going I was shit can u get me in she was like yeah lets do it. So I went watched Dabo and Redman for the second night in Tokyo it was epic.
Couldn’t have been long after that we stared making my own mix tapes in Tokyo w my friends
Including Buddha
18 out of High school
I eventuallygraduated and left Tokyo will a I went to CAac ouch in the walkway and that wasn’t good no more than other 18 year old made the adjustment from leaving home but also coming back to the states but my experience t at that pint was very different than many of my class mates at that point she it was a change from a quote shy elementary kid to a high school and post highschool and different mind the attention anymore
